Hi! I’m Karla Ehlers!
I created this online program because there is a HUGE barrier to women getting the care they need, in a timely and efficient way! Women are SO busy and the longer we wait to get the care we need, the more pain, stress, and anxiety it can bring! I am a huge advocate for PROACTIVE and PREVENTATIVE care and I hope this program helps you to EMBRACE YOUR PELVIC HEALTH and increase your confidence in your body! Pelvic health concerns like bladder leakage, pelvic pain, and constipation can really affect us doing the things we love! This program is the FOUNDATION of pelvic health and I hope you learn so much about your body and create new, simple routines to prioritize your health!
I started my wellness journey playing sports throughout high school and college, in particular, volleyball at a small D2 school in Ohio where I graduated with my Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science. I am a Board Certified Occupational Therapist since 2015 from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences in Florida. I completed the American Occupational Therapy Association's year-long Neurologic Residency Program in 2017. I have struggled with low back pain my whole adult life and it was through pelvic health that helped me to create the routines I needed to continue living an active lifestyle. I am the owner of Occupelvic Health and Wellness and specialize in pelvic floor therapy and am a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. I hold a Trauma Informed Pelvic Health Certification. I also have specialty training in: Perinatal Mood Disorders, Colorectal Conditions, Chronic Pain, and advanced training in Nervous System function utilizing Polyvagal Theory.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling with my family, living full-time in my RV with my husband, reading, hiking at national parks, kayaking, and playing or coaching volleyball.
